The Betsy - South Beach, a world-leading boutique luxury property known for innovative arts and culture programs, announces The Betsy’s 10th Annual Escribe Aquí/Write Here Festival schedule to take place from August 4-6, 2024. This year’s program includes residencies for 8 writers in The Betsy Writers Room and "Cafecito" coffee conversations with participating artists.

The Betsy’s Escribe Aquí/Write Here honors artists who ‘do their creative work’ at the intersection of arts, culture and identity and gives a special nod to those working in Miami, where over 70% of residents live in multi-lingual, culturally diverse, homes. Escribe Aquí was created in 2015 at The Betsy with support from The Knight Foundation by Cuban-American writer Pablo Cartaya (pablocartaya.com) and Pedro Medina Leon (PedroMedinaLeon.com), Peruvian writer/founder of SoFla publisher, Suburbano Ediciones. Our new programming partners for 2024 are the FIU-Wolfsonian Humanities Lab and the Iris Photo Collective. Our new lead funding partner is the Perez CreATE program.

Presented with special thanks to our community Partners:

The Betsy Hotel, The Betsy Community Fund, The PG Family Foundation, Perez CreARTE, FIU-Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, Jewish Book Council, collaboARTive, Ocean Drive Association Promenade Concert Series, City of Miami Beach, Caridad Moro-Gronlier: Poet Laureate of Miami Dade County.
