The Betsy Writer’s Room offers interdisciplinary artists and thought leaders a space to create new work and engage in arts-based community outreach programs.
Though all creatives are welcome to apply, the program reserves a special place for poets at all stages of their careers, and for intersectional artists in marginalized sectors.

Books & Books at The Betsy
Series writers are curated by Books & Books in partnership with major global publishers. Public events are free and open to the public, hosted on the last Sunday of every month, starting at 3:30 PM at The Betsy.
Ongoing support for this project comes from The Betsy Hotel, Books & Books Literary Foundation, The Betsy Community Fund at The Miami Foundation, and Plutzik Goldwasser Family Foundation. Special seed funding is provided by the Jorge Perez Family Foundation as part of a two year CreARTE grant awarded to The Betsy Writer’s Room.
