Sara Fruner was born in Riva del Garda (Trento) in 1978. She specializes in literary translation and has worked as a translator, editorial consultant and reviewer for classics. Her poems are in magazines and anthologies such as " Graphie", Poets in the Cinque Terre, Panunzio Prize, and she is the author of several short stories and novels.

She worked as an editorial coordinator in CREATE-NET, an international research center in ICT; as a teacher at the Istituto Superiore Interpretatori e Traduttori in Trento; as speaker at international conferences on translation and literature; and at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles.

Since 2016, she has lived in New York, where she writes for The Voice of New York, a bilingual online newspaper based in the United Nations, where she also collaborates with Cultural Liaison & Public Relations. She also writes for online magazine "Warehouse 26", under the heading "The Milkshake - The Side of Fru".
