Sandra Cisneros is an American writer. She is best known for her first novel, The House on Mango Street, and her subsequent short story collection, Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories. Sandra Cisneros is among 11 recipients of thePoetry Foundation's 2022 Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize - and she is a MacArthur Genius Award Winner as well.
