Juliet Romeo, a Trinidad-born filmmaker who now resides in South Florida, is renowned for her award-winning work. Drawing from her personal journey as a Caribbean woman of color with a disability, Juliet crafts captivating narratives and documentaries that have a positive impact on people's lives. Additionally, she founded the Unstoppable program at the Slamdance Film Festival, dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the creative and inspiring stories of the disabled community. Through her initiatives, Juliet provides opportunities and accessibility for disabled filmmakers. Her films have been showcased across Florida through platforms such as PBS, Shutter, and various local festivals and art exhibits.
