Joanna Fuhrman teaches at Rutgers University, and is the author of seven books of poetry. She is in residence at The Betsy in partnership with Young Arts, as she is an alumna (1991) of the program. Her poetry is humorous and surreal, mining references from pop and high culture. She has been poetry editor for Boog City and curator of the reading series for the Saint Mark’s Church Poetry Project in New York. Since 2022, she has been an editor at Hanging Loose Press. Fuhrman lives in Brooklyn, New York.
